“Old Continent, New Horizons”, a group exhibition of 15 exquisite works by ten selected Nanyang artists, Cheong Soo Pieng, Choy Weng Yang, Lai Foong Moi, Lee Sik Khoon, Lim Yew Kuan, Mak Kum Siew, Tan Choon Ghee, Tan Teo Kwang, Yeo Hoe Koon, and Yeo Kim Seng. Old Continent, New Horizons is a showcase of works by artists that had journeyed to Europe in search of artistic inspiration. The Old Continent was never meant to be the final destination, for the goal was always to broaden the horizons and return home to enhance Nanyang art.
